The support communities across the country showed our military and Veteran families as part of Blue Star Welcome Week 2021 was everything we envisioned for this initiative and more. We at Blue Star Families could not be more grateful for your participation! Now is the time to keep the momentum going, and we are committed to doing just that alongside you. As the countdown begins for Blue Star Welcome Week 2022, we hope you feel just as motivated as we do to continue connecting with your neighbors through various opportunities-events, volunteering, and more-to cultivate welcoming, inclusive communities where all military and Veteran families feel like they belong. Because that is what the world could use more of right now, would you agree? Arm in arm, together, we really are stronger!
To make the biggest impact possible, Blue Star Welcome Week 2021 was an all-hands-on-deck effort. Our co-chairs, honorary committee members, and sponsors saw the need, vision, and potential of this initiative, and helped bring it to life. Our trusted nonprofit partners continue to work tirelessly to fulfill their duty to support the military- and Veteran-connected community. Elected officials across the country signed proclamations, and military-affiliated and defense leaders recorded videos of support. And our local neighbors raised their hands to serve as the "boots on the ground," so to speak, offering simple gestures of kindness and welcome in their neighborhoods. No matter your level of involvement, you have helped make a difference. We are grateful for you, and we look forward to building a brighter future for our military and Veteran families together.
