Military Spouse Program

According to the 2021 Blue Star Families annual Military Family Lifestyle Survey, only 30% of active-duty family respondents feel a sense of belonging to their local civilian community. We’re on a mission to change that with our grassroots approach program that instills a sense of belonging and engagement in the local community for military spouses. Whether stationed here for one assignment or as a final duty station, our goal is to empower military spouses to be engaged, involved, and connected with our community. We know moving to a new community can be challenging and while many spouses are eager to jump in, they may not know where to start. By participating in this program, spouses will have a unique opportunity to not only learn more about their community but also build their professional network and meet key leaders who are working tirelessly to make Tampa Bay the BEST community.

Participants can expect to hear from community leaders on topics related to the Five & Thrive Guide. Throughout the day we will discuss housing, childcare, military spouse employment and education through a local lens.
